B4RK provide Fibre-To-The-Home, Fixed Wireless Access and 4G/5G broadband solutions throughout rural Kent. B4RK modelled itself around the community centric building mantra of B4RN. Founder, Tim Higgs has decided to to do this to help those in poorly served communities in rural Kent by building an independent FTTP network. The network was born after Openreach quoted a whopping £230,000 to roll out FTTP in the area. Subsequently, Tim built a Fixed Wireless Access Network (FWA) for a small group of family and neighbours and has grown from here.

How fast is B4RK?

B4RK provides a wide range of speeds, from 100Mbps all the way up to 10Gbps on request. B4RK’s top standard speed is symmetrical 1Gbps. Symmetrical Gigabit connections are much harder to come by in rural areas. This then makes B4RK a fantastic option for heavy-internet users. B4RK is a key Alt-Net in helping the Government to bring Gigabit Broadband to 85% of UK premises by 2025. This makes them ideal for future-proofing a rural home and for homes that have a high usage of Broadband- whether that be for running a business, streaming or gaming. The power of FTTP means their speeds is all you will need.

How much does B4RK cost?

When considering the cost of full-fibre broadband it is important to understand that full-fibre is the next generation of broadband connection. Just like a new mobile phone, the newer it is the higher the price it carries. The majority of B4RK customers can expect to pay just £30/month for the standard Home 100 package. Speeds for top FTTP packages are billed at £80 per month. Other FTTP packages vary between these price points. Multi-gigabit connections are available but the price is quoted on enquiry.

How long is the minimum contract length with B4RK?

The minimum contract length with B4RK is 12 months. But they don’t have any early exit penalties- which is important to know in case you are ever thinking of cancelling your contract.
